1-2 hours per week. I have tests that are given every 5 lessons starting at the completion of Lessons 75-71. Tests will be given if parents would like them. I also will grade them if wanted.Letter Grade

US Grade 5 - 8
This class will cover the last 70 lessons of Saxon Math 76 3rd edition textbook. I work through lessons 75, 74, and 73 teaching as I go. The student is to work the three lessons with me and then complete lessons 72 and 71 on their own. The following week I work through Lessons 80, 79, and 78, teaching as I go and the student works the problems with me and then completes lessons 77 and 76 on their own as review. This continues up to lesson 70. This allows the student to learn all concepts with me and work through 3 lessons with me. Then to review the student will complete 2 lessons on their own.
Learning Goals
The learning goal here is to complete the second 1/2 of Math 76 and prepare the student for Math 87.
There is no memorization required and all students will fill out a reference card with formulas and tips to help solve problems on lessons and tests they complete on their own. Students are also encouraged to use a multiplication chart.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi Everyone! My name is Jennifer Lauer and I teach Science and Math for Middle and High School students. I also tutor up to Calculus 2 and College level sciences. I have a bachelors in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics and a Masters in Mathematics. I have been teaching in some capacity for 25 years. I have taught at a private school, in home with my children that I homeschooled from kindergarten to high school graduation. I have my own business where I hold classes for homeschooled students in math and science as well as college entrance exam prep. I tutor online for multiple companies and private families. I believe I have developed a way to be able to work with homeschool students once or twice a week in self directed videos which will enable them to learn and do the rest of the weekly lessons on their own. I use Saxon math textbooks (the hardback older ones) and sometimes Math U See for students who are not STEM focused. Come see if my classes are a right fit for you and your family!
