US Grade 8 - 11
This class is specifically geared for homeschoolers. In each class, I will introduce the topic and explain it in detail using the textbook. Then we will work through examples and practice problems together. I can go over difficult homework problems at the beginning of class the following week. 📚 Saxon Algebra 1, first semester (lessons 1-60). See Syllabus for lesson details. ⏲️ 15 weeks, 2x per week. Starts in Late August and ends Mid-December. There is a break scheduled Thanksgiving week. 👩🏻🏫👨🏻🏫The small class size is designed to encourage class participation. Interaction can help the student learn the material better and build confidence in the topic. 📝 Supplies: Saxon Algebra 1, 3rd Edition textbook (orange and blue), and homeschool packet **including test booklet, pencil and paper, scientific calculator 💯 Grades can be given upon request. Homework problems are expected to be completed (we will discuss difficult problems in class), but will not be graded. Teacher expertise and credentials
Master's Degree from Texas A&M University
I am a math tutor with years of tutoring experience. I also have a masters in Civil Engineering, a very math heavy curriculum, so a good algebra foundation is critical. I have also observed students in algebra that lack the required skills from pre-algebra for success. I have a passion for helping students understand math.
