Saxon Algebra 1 B
The class fulfills the second 1/2 of a credit or 2nd semester of Algebra 1. It satisfies the math requirement for high school math. Students are taught using Saxon's Algebra 1, 3rd edition hardback book.

2-4 hours per week. I will offer tests that are to be completed starting after lessons 61-64 are complete and are to be given after every 4 lessons. These tests are optional.Assessment

US Grade 8 - 11
This class will cover the last 60 lessons (61-120) of Saxon Algebra 1 3rd edition textbook. I work through lessons 64 and 63 teaching as I go. The student is to work the two lessons with me and then complete lessons 62 and 61 on their own. The following week I work through Lessons 68 and 67, teaching as I go and the student works the problems with me and then completes lessons 66 and 65 on their own as review. This continues up to lesson 120. This allows the student to learn all concepts with me and work through 2 lessons with me.
Learning Goals
The learning goal here is to complete the second 1/2 credit of high school Algebra 1 and prepare the student for Algebra 2.There is no memorization required and all students will fill out a reference card with formulas and tips to help solve problems on lessons and tests they complete on their own.

Completion of the 1st half of Saxon Algebra 1 text or my Algebra 1 A class.
