Sam is a lovable but mischievous worm who enjoys going on adventures but yet always ends up needing to be rescued. Students will use common household crafting supplies such as paper, string, paper towel tubes, tape, straws, paper plates, cardboard, etc. to build something that will go along with our Sam story and help save both Sam the worm and the holidays from disaster. I have over 15 years of experience teaching elementary aged students, and hold both a Ph.D. and a M.Ed in education. I also have current licensure to teach PreK through sixth grade. My educational background includes extensive training in teaching core academic subjects, gifted/creative logic, and all manners of pedagogical methods.
This class will need some common recycling objects/household crafting supplies and a full list will be provided in the classroom.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
