Saturday Bonsai Club: Exploring an Ancient Art (Ages 10-14)

This class is an ongoing discussion and exploration of the art of bonsai. Each class we will do a deep dive into an aspect of the world of bonsai, answering questions and curiosities along the way. We will begin each class with a topic to explore in-depth, and some topics will include handouts and references to aid the student in their own bonsai pursuits. After discussion, there will be a period where the students may share their bonsai creations and ask questions and advice about care, training, and maintenance of bonsai trees.

Week 2: Philosophy of Bonsai (November 13) 
Week 3: Bonsai Styles (November 20)
Week 4: Shaping Bonsai/ Limb Training (November 27)
Week 5: Pruning and Refining Bonsai (December 4)
Week 6: Indoor Bonsai & Bonsai in winter (December 11)
No previous experience with bonsai is required, just an interest in exploring this living art form!
