SAT/PSAT Vocabulary Prep is an essential class used to enhance and prepare for the vocabulary questions on the exam. Students will learn about SAT/PSAT exams and vocabulary words necessary to master the vocabulary section. Duration of class is 60 mins. 3 times/week. SAT/PSAT Vocabulary Prep class schedule consist of the following: Agenda: 1. Class & Teacher Introduction (Day 1) 2. Step-by-step instructions of lesson taught 3. Class Instruction guided by the Teacher 4. Post Assessment review of the final project of the lesson taught. Day 1: Lessons includes daily Homework PSAT Vocabulary List 1 (25 words) Site/Review Vocabulary Words Vocab Exercise Worksheet Exit slip: Vocabulary Quiz Day 2: SAT Vocabulary List 2 Site/Review Vocabulary Words Vocab Exercise Worksheet Exit Slip: Vocabulary Quiz Day 3: Review SAT/PSAT Vocabulary list 1&2 SAT/PSAT Vocabulary Prep Test Teacher style: Lecture, demonstration including, "I do, you do, we do" teaching method. The lesson will be taught via Zoom app with student and teacher engagement. *Middle School Vocabulary expected

Hi,
My name is Katherine Walker and I am a veteran educator of 18 years. I acquire excellent teaching experience in all subjects and currently hold a Preliminary CTE Credential for the state of CA where I reside.
I am comfortable teaching the following subjects:
English, Math, Social Studies, Science, Business classes i.e. (Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Economics, Finance) and Fashion Design/Merchandising.
My teaching philosophy is very simplistic and I feel that any child is capable of learning once taught/guided with an effective curriculum and lesson plan. My effective teaching methods include effective lesson planning and thorough classroom instruction along with classroom management. As a result, my students are well taught and successfully meet their learning targets.
Personally, I love to travel and I am the youngest of 7 children as well as being the first College Degree Grad. of my immediate family. I look forward to online teaching and helping schools/students fill in the gap during this time and beyond.
