Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this course, students will begin with a general overview of what the SAT is.

We will discuss the following:
- how scoring is calculated for each, and what happens to your score when you test more than once
- the different subject sections
- structure of questioning
- a few different test-taking methods (guessing vs inferring, etc)
- the pros and cons of each test

I will teach your students methods for how to study effectively for each test. Both the SAT and ACT are broad tests and can seem a obscure to your student. SAT and ACT preparation books are quite thick and oftentimes students don't know where to begin when it comes to studying. We will review techniques to help them absorb as much information as possible in preparation for this exam.

I will also steer your students towards some great free resources that I have encountered along the way, so they don't have to rely on Google searches to find good information!
