In this ongoing course, students will learn ten new vocabulary words each week. This course will help prepare students for the PSAT/SAT exam.
Class experience
US Grade 5 - 8
In this ongoing course, students will learn five new words each week. They will use context clues to help them determine the definition of each word. They will then be instructed to write a sentence using the new vocabulary word. Students will also be required to read a short passage similar to passages that are found on the SAT practice exam. Within the reading passage, there will be one new bonus word and question similar to what a student would find on the SAT practice exam. *...
I am a New York State certified teacher and I have been tutoring students throughout various centers in NYS in preparation of the SAT exam. Currently, I work for Varsity tutors as a SAT tutor.
Homework Offered
Homework will be optional . Students will be encouraged to write a short story or paragraph using the five new vocabulary words.Assessments Offered
