US Grade 9 - 12
This class is perfect for learners that are preparing for the SAT and want some additional practice on the Math section. The class is kept small with a maximum enrollment of 4 learners. We focus on the topics in the Problem Solving and Data Analysis section. These topics include the ability to create a representation of a problem, consider the units involved, attend to the meaning of quantities, and know and use different properties of operations and objects. Problems in this category will require significant quantitative reasoning about ratios, rates, and proportional relationships and will place a premium on understanding and applying unit rate. Learners will complete practice questions from College Board SAT practice tests and each solution will be discussed and explained. My goal is to make test prep accessible and enjoyable for everyone. There will be lots of opportunities for participation and growth!
