The best way to improve your SAT math score is to do SAT math problems! Each week we will cover 2 math topics from the Digital SAT. Students will be presented with a set of math problems. They will be given a set amount of time to complete each problem themselves and then we will discuss how to solve the problem by hand, as well as integrate DESMOS into our problem solving strategy (if applicable). Depending on the subject we may do a review lesson to go over any gaps in knowledge your student might have. I also may assign corresponding lessons from Khan academy to help fill those gaps in knowledge. I use questions from both the Digital SAT and the Linear SAT (the old SAT format) as they are both useful when teaching concepts. We will follow the schedule below and loop back around once we reach the end. This is an ongoing workshop. Students can join at any time and go through the 1-15 week series as many times as they want. Optional companion book: The College Panda SAT Math Book 3rd Edition (Digital). Supply List
Students must bring a paper and pencil/pen to class. If they plan on using a physical calculator on the SAT, then I recommend bringing the actual calculator they plan on using to class as well. Students should also have access to DESMOS during class.
