In this class, the students will be introduced to the questions in the Math section of the SAT exam. In addition to looking at mock exams, we will also look at over 250 unique math exam questions and how to quickly solve them. Each class we will start by breaking down one or two of the most common question types, then move on to guided practice in solving for said questions. Prior to my professional teaching career as a secondary Math teacher, I taught Politics as a college professor for a decade. After leaving the university level, I shifted my professional orientation to high school where I have specialized as an Algebra classroom teacher for over five years at one of the top high schools in Colorado. In fact, this year I was awarded the "Teacher of the Year: Teacher Impact Award" for my work with my Algebra students. Indeed, for the last 3 years my students have outscored all the others district classes by approx. 100+ points.

This platform is a great formative assessment tool that will allow me to see students learning outcomes and, as a result, allow me to adjust pacing and instructional aspects of the course to best suit the needs of the students.
