Advanced Level
This class is perfect for learners that are preparing for the SAT and want some additional practice on the Math section. The class is kept small with a maximum enrollment of 4 learners. We will focus on the topics in the Passport to Advanced Math category. These topics include: Operations with Polynomials and Rewriting Expressions, Quadratic Functions and Equations, Exponential Functions, Equations and Expressions, and Radicals, Solving Rational Equations, Systems of Equations, Relationships between Alegratic and Graphical representations of Functions, Functional Notation Interpreting and Analysing more complex equations in context Learners will complete practice questions from College Board SAT practice tests and each solution will be discussed and explained. My goal is to make test prep accessible and enjoyable for everyone. There will be lots of opportunities for participation and growth!
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of the types of questions on the SAT, as well as gain the background knowledge and strategies required to solve them correctly.

I am a New York State certified teacher and have been teaching for over 16 years. Over the years I have taught 7 and 8th-grade science, High School Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, and Algebra. I have degrees from Boston College and Fordham University and am currently pursuing a doctoral degree from Stony Brook University.
