This class is perfect for learners that are preparing for the SAT and want some additional practice on the Math section. The class is kept small with a maximum enrollment of 4 learners. We will focus on the topics in the Heart of Algebra category. Heart of Algebra will assess students’ ability to analyze, fluently solve, and create linear equations and inequalities. Students will also be expected to analyze and fluently solve equations and systems of equations using multiple techniques. Learners will complete practice questions from College Board SAT practice tests and each solution will be discussed and explained. My goal is to make test prep accessible and enjoyable for everyone. There will be lots of opportunities for participation and growth!
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of the types of questions on the SAT, as well as gain the background knowledge and strategies required to solve them correctly.

I am a New York State certified teacher and have been teaching for over 16 years. Over the years I have taught 7 and 8th-grade science, High School Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, and Algebra. I have degrees from Boston College and Fordham University and am currently pursuing a doctoral degree from Stony Brook University.
You will find classes and tutoring from me on coding, math, and science, including ACT and SAT Prep. I also like to share my passions, so you may also see some quilting and crafting classes.
I believe that all students can learn, it's just a matter of finding a way to connect to them. In my spare time, I love crafting, quilting, and knitting.
