4 in-class hoursHomework
1-2 hours per week. There will be deltamaths provided that will be focused on reviewing the topics covered on the sat. Deltamath generates new problems and provides explanations on how to complete each problem if assistance is needed. I recommend studying for at least 2 hours per week in preparation for the SAT.Assessment
These deltamath assignments will be graded for accuracy and completion. I would also like for students to complete 2 practice tests of the SAT: 1 the first week of our class meeting and 1 the last week to see improvement!Class Experience
US Grade 8 - 11
EARLY ENROLLMENT SPECIAL: Enroll before May 21st using code "DANNASATSUMMER25" to receive $25 off the full listing price for the course! The SAT is comprised of 3 different sections, Reading, Writing, and Math. For math there are two sections, a calculator section that is 38 questions and 55 minutes long. That means you have less than a minute and a half to answer each one! The next section is the non calculator section which is 25 minutes long with 20 questions. That means you have just over a minute for each one of these. Because of these time restrictions, one of the skills we will practice is a "rapid fire" section where students will have 5 minutes to answer 5 math questions. This accelerated timing allows them to practice having to think fast, be strategic about the problems they select to answer, and prepare to have limited time to do it. Additionally, we will be reviewing key topics covered in the math section of the SAT. This mainly includes algebra, geometry, and statistics questions. Each class, students will be assigned optional practice problems to be completed throughout the week to reinforce the concepts reviewed during class. Each student will also complete 2 practice SATs during the course of this bootcamp!
Learning Goals
