US Grade 8 - 11
In this multi-day course, students will learn test taking strategies, tips, and tricks that are proven to raise SAT/ ACT test scores. Students will practice effective test-taking strategies, examine the kinds of questions and content of the test, understand the format of test sections, and practice the skills and techniques for each type of question. Students will gain confidence in taking standardized test like the SAT, and ACT and learn to approach the test analytically and confidently.

In this class, students will practice skills, grammar, word choice, context, standard English conventions, and analyze actual test questions to gain a broader understanding of SAT/ ACT English reading, writing and language.

Each class, students will learn grammar rules, vocabulary, identify word choice mistakes, and fix English convention errors. We will analyze actual SAT/ ACT Questions to become familiar with the testing format. The students will learn skills to improve their SAT/ ACT score.

The SAT/ ACT English sections are very similar in content and in purpose. Much of the preparation you do for either test will apply just as well to the other test.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am proud to report that I am the exclusive ELA teacher of the youngest child to ever get a perfect score on the SAT. My student is only 10 years old (Yes! 10 years old) and started with scores of 600/800 for SAT Reading and Writing and after leaning my strategies, he gained a perfect score! I promise you that your student scores will improve after learning my methods.
