Homework Offered
Students will be assigned chapters to read between each class. Students will pick an assignment off of a choice board to learn more about a topic relating to the story.

Assessments Offered
Students will be assessed on their final project using a rubric. There will be a written assessment through Google Forms.
Grades Offered
The students will need a copy of Sarah, Plain and Tall, printed copies of the handouts sent weekly, pencils, glass jars, heavy cream, salt and materials to complete the project of their choice.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
When we make butter, students will have glass jars which will need to be used with caution.

Warning: The children discuss the death of their mother in the beginning of the story which can be a sensitive subject for children.

Google Forms will be used for a book assessment.
We will use Kiddle to research the prairie and Maine.
Merriam-Webster will be used for vocabulary activities.
