Santa's sleigh is powered by candy canes but the machine isn't working properly! Can you solve the maths clues to power it up again, ready for Christmas Eve? This class is taught in English.
You will learn how to put numbers in order, add digit sums, work out greater than and less than number sentences, multiply and divide, perform inverse operations, add, subtract, find one-quarter of a number, follow grid directions and find the difference on a bar chart.
I have taught KS1 and KS2 maths for over 30 years.
All source material will be put into the classroom before class starts. Please have the sheets printed off ready for your child to solve the clues. You will need a pencil/pen and a ruler.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Although this class is based upon Christmas maths, it does so on a secular basis, referring only to Santa, his elves and the sleigh.
All source material will be provided by me and put into the classroom before class starts. Please have the sheets printed off ready for your child to solve the clues.
Learning through fun!
