I have been baking all of my life! I am an Ontario Certified Teacher with a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts. I also teach Food and Nutrition in an Ontario High School and have taught many young people how to bake this recipe successfully. I love to share my joy of baking with students and to see their confidence in the kitchen improve.
No homework unless they want to make them again! Students will have to clean up and wash their dishes after class.
A recipe will be uploaded to the classroom 24 hours before class begins. However, the ingredients you will need are as follows: yeast, flour, salt, brown sugar, oil, one egg, salt (coarse or regular is fine), cinnamon (optional)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be given informal, anecdotal comments during the class.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This is a hands on cooking class so students might need help using an oven and a stovetop to boil the water and put the bites in the oven. Please note that this recipe contains flour. If you wish to make them gluten free, you can use 1:1 flour substitute.
