We will go over tips and tricks to achieve an authentic anime style drawing. The course will be broken down into different sections with how to draw Sailor Moon, Chibi Moon, Luna and Pegasus. Shading, colouring and inking techniques will also being taught. Students will be able to jump into the magical world of Sailor Moon and recreate these awesome characters at home. Each lesson we will watch a short clip of these characters in action in the cartoons they belong to. This is a great way to introduce the characters and get everyone excited about recreating them at home. Week 1: Sailor Moon head and body drawing. We will go through step by step instructions on how to draw Usagi in the anime style with questions and comments encouraged throughout in the classroom page. Students will also receive a brief overview of what the next 4 weeks will entail. Week 2: Chibi Moon head and body drawing. Week 3: Students will be taught how to colour in their Sailor Moon and Chibi Moon drawings and be taught about different shading techniques and tips using different mediums such as markers and pencils. Students will also be taught how to 'ink' their drawings successfully and other ways we can effectively shade and colour in our characters. This will include tutorials and explanations on gradient, highlights and shadows. Week 4: Now students will learn how to draw the magical talking cat Luna! Step by step we will sketch out our drawing and learn about other cat friends Luna has with the option to draw Artemus too. We will then colour in our cat using any medium we like - crayons, pencils, pens or paints! Tips on page decoration and customisation will also be displayed and taught. Week 5: In this final week we will learn step by step how to draw the majestic Pegasus! A slightly more advance drawing will be taught with guide lines and shapes. Students are encouraged to post photos of their art works in the classroom weekly and connect with other students in there. My teaching style is very enthusiastic and I like to encourage my students by praising what they are doing well. I will also sensitively point out where there is room for improvement if they request this. The best way to learn is through doing and so my lesson will be very interactive and engaging. The students will need some plain paper, an eraser, sharpener and coloured pens or pencils, including the colour black. No required experience or knowledge is needed for this class. Just a joy and curious attitude about art and how to draw! *This is a self paced class. Each lesson will be delivered via a prerecorded video that will be uploaded into the classroom. Video time may vary but the work time for students will be around an hour long. Learners will then upload a photo of their art work that they complete each week in the classroom. This way I can check for proper understanding of the techniques and concepts, as well as give feedback to the students. They may share with me privately or publicly in the classroom tab. I will also be using fun questions in the classroom relating to Sailor Moon in order to create anime and art based conversation between the students! Why choose a self paced? - Self Paced classes are great for students who may live in different time zones (Teacher Harriet lives in London UK) - They are an excellent choice for families who have busy schedules, or cant commit to a specific date or time - Students can work at their own pace. Videos can be paused and rewatched at any time
