30 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
Ahoy! In this ongoing course, students (ages 14-18) will learn about and have discussion around sailing, sailboats, sailors, and all things sailing! I also offer a separate "Sailing Club" ongoing class for ages 9-13. Since ongoing classes do not build upon each other, it’s not a problem if a student cannot attend every session. Class Schedule: -Greetings (~2-3 mins) -Sailing Terms of the Day (~2-3 mins) -Sailboat Tour/Sailing Videos/Sailing Discussion/Share (~20-25 minutes) -Wrap Up and Goodbyes (~1-2 mins) During our time together we will tour different sailboats, learn about historical sailors, have discussions, play games, and draw pictures. We will discuss boat systems, maintenance, cost of living, places of travel, and much more!
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of sailboats and have discussion about sailing related topics.
