I have a degree in elementary education and have been working with kids through teaching, coaching, and childcare for over 15 years. I have extensive experience and expertise working with ESL learners. Also, I am raising three boys of my own ( ages 2, 7 & 10). I am often inspired to create classes that cover subjects I find important in my own parenting journey. I am a lifelong learner and an avid reader. To support my curriculum development I dedicate significant time to reading, listening, and learning about the most current research on child development, teaching, and parenting, and safety.
Homework Offered
Students will have optional assignments they can complete with the assistance of their adults. Most assignments will come from a "Tricky People Detective Notebook" that can be printed off during week one. Please read my class description thoroughly to understand how I approach this topic and the things discussed.

I take great care in making the topic fun and not scary. Empowering my learners to understand that we prepare for safety in a variety of areas in life "just in case".

There will be no discussion of inappropriate touching of private parts--rather a guide for parents to discuss these things as they see fit in their own way (see the link provided in class description).

Youtube will only be used to embed the prerecorded videos directly in the classroom. Students WILL consume all videos and resources in the classroom per Outschool safety requirements.
