Welcome to the Russian Class! In this class we speak the Russian language, play Trivia games, and also the famous Russian TV game “What? Where? When?”. If you want to practice Russian and sharpen the thinking skills this class is perfect for you. In every class, there will be a subject to discuss, and a game to play. A list of words and themes will be mailed in advance. I use slides during the class. Topics like nature, art, literature, Russian language, hobbies, sport, music, seasons, opposites, and everyday life will be discussed. Easy and more advanced questions will be in a game. No worries if you do not know the answers to the trivia questions we are here to learn and have fun! I can provide hints for any students that need them, and I can also adjust the difficulty as necessary to make sure the activities remain fun for everyone. Your students will end this course with some knowledge of the Russian language, history, fun facts, and new friends. My name is Iryna. I have been working with the children for more than 16 years. My native language is Russian and Ukrainian. My passion for teaching expanded to teaching the Russian language from zero to discussing literature. My primary focus in teaching the Russian language is to expose students to the Russian language and teach them the fundamentals of the language in a fast and exciting way.
Also, I am a certified Kids Yoga Instructor with quite some years of teaching at daycares, schools, after-school programs, and Sunday schools. I give my classes the extra twist to make yoga more fun for the kids! My yoga classes combine storytelling, music, imagination, and movement allowing even the youngest of yogis to blossom and grow.
