In this ongoing course we will work on developing speaking skills, practicing reading and writing. The curriculum will be individually designed to meet the needs of each learner. We will use poems, songs, fairy-tales and stories to utilize active vocabulary and enrich passive vocabulary of the learner. Guided reading and independent reading will be a part of each lesson. Children will: -review letters and sounds -develop phonemic awareness -develop reading skills -practice small motor skills (writing skills) -speak using active vocabulary -acquire new vocabulary -develop critical thinking -listen to Russian poems and songs -be exposed to Russian culture through traditional Russian fairy-tale and cartoon characters
-a few pages of activities will be provided after each class -the learner will need a notebook, a pencil and markers/crayons/gel pens
-printouts (will be provided in the classroom tab) -a notebook -a pencil, markers/crayons/gel pens
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
