In addition to being a musician, vintage record reseller, and an online teacher, I am also a professional pet sitter and receive rave reviews from my clients. There is huge need for quality pet sitting and I want to help you learn what it takes to fill that need!
Homework Offered
Each week, the learners will individually do work to get themselves ready to start pet sitting. This work will include activities such as reflecting on their background and experience, brainstorming their network of potential first clients, assessing their availability, practicing questions for meeting their clients, setting up a calendar to keep track of appointments, and creating checklists.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Assessment will be informal throughout the 4-weeks and will be in the form of feedback on the homework they have done.
Grades Offered
I will be providing the template that I use for my pet sitting client meet and greets. Learners will be using this when they practice meet and greets, so it would be helpful to print out at least one copy. The learner is also free to use this for their own clients in the future.
If learners go on to pet sit after this course, it is recommended that they do at least their first few visits with a supervising adult to ensure the safety and security of both the learner and the pet, as well as the security of the home they are visiting. Learners should always practice care around animals they do not know, as some pets are more dangerous than others.
