Royal Princess Tea Party- Sofia the First

You are cordially invited to attend a royal princess tea party where we will drink tea, read a Sofia the first story and make a wand and crown. Update- there will not be an appearance of a princess in this version of the class.

Class Experience

Learners will learn and practice tea time etiquette. 
Learners will practice their fine motor skills by cutting, coloring, gluing and decorating a wand and a crown.
Learners will practice their listening skills while the teacher models the story read fluently.
Learners will practice the art of conversation while participating in the tea party, making their craft and discussing the story. 
I have a Master's degree in reading education and a bachelor's degree in elementary education. I have hosted and attended many tea parties in my life time. They are one of my favorite past time activities. 
Prepare all supplies for class
 2 files available upon enrollment
Glue- quick dry type works best, Stapler or strong tape (You just nee 1 of these options) Scissors Empty Paper towel roll or a piece of paper rolled into a tube Markers or crayons printer paper, card stock paper or fun foam - to make the stars and crown out of Wrapping paper or any type of colorful paper to cover the paper towel roll (optional) Any embellishments to glue on the crown and star- gems, stickers, fun foam, glitter, sequins, buttons, etc. Star and crown pattern printed out on printer paper or cardstock (if using fun foam cut out the print out and trace onto the fun foam. You will need 2 stars and 1 crown pattern. Cup of tea or beverage of your choice Snack of your choice Doll or stuffed animal
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Informal assessment of tea time etiquette, listening skills, conversational skills  and fine motor skills. 
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Parents, if you could be present to help with the tea pouring and craft stapling that would be really helpful. I don't want any accidents around your electronic devices.
