US Grade 2 - 4
This course will review the topic of rounding. We will begin by reviewing place value for digits in whole numbers, and move on to the rounding review. I like to approach the classroom with an I do, we do, you do style so that students are comfortable working with me before working on their own. We will begin with a short lesson on place value, and move on to interacting through a “show what you know” type of game. We will then move on to a short rounding lecture, where afterwards students are able to work through rounding problems individually and together to solidify the concept.
Learning Goals
Our goal is to introduce/review rounding, and be able to round numbers up to the thousands by the end of the session.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello,
My name is Miss Lenz, I have a Master’s in Education, and am a certified K-6 teacher in California, Oregon, and Florida. I have experience teaching both third and fourth grade, and am currently a full time third grade teacher. My classes will offer 2-4 grade math content, as well as comprehension strategies for reading. My strategy for teaching is that everyone learns at their own pace, and I want to offer students differentiated strategies for all content. This way, students can learn what is best for them! Fun fact: my major for my undergraduate was Zoology, and I used to work at an animal sanctuary.
