Rounding Like a Pro

During this  class, students will be learning how to round numbers to the nearest tens and hundreds place. This is a beginner course. It is designed to be an introduction that will involve comprehension checks about rounding, once taught. They will learn how to round numbers to the nearest tens or hundreds places, with and without a number line. 

This class will be interactive. Students will need to have a dry erase board and marker, during the class. (Pencil and paper will work as well.) We will also use a powerpoint as another way to check for understanding and review the learned material.


Reminder: This class is designed for students that are beginning to learn about rounding numbers or students that may be having a difficult time with comprehending the concepts with rounding/estimating numbers. Students are not required to any background knowledge of rounding numbers, but it would be very helpful if they comprehend place value.
