Description

Class Experience

This course will lead students through the exploration of rocks, focusing on igneous rocks.  It will also spark curiosity as students research and discover how rocks form and create beautiful geological events such as volcanoes.  It will also include CLOSE reading nonfiction passages to incorporate reading in the content area.  Through this course, students will learn what a volcano is, the type of rocks that form volcanoes, the nature of volcanoes and types of volcanoes.

I am a certified teacher in science, language arts and social science.  I also have a master's degree in reading.  I've been teaching for 11 years to both struggling students and gifted students.  I feel it's important to differentiate my instruction so that I'm meeting the individual needs of all my students.

All materials will be provided on the first day of class through the Outschool classroom.

No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
