In this fun, one-time fitness class, students will follow the instructor for a 15 min POUND fitness routine. POUND is a full body workout that combines cardio, strength training, and conditioning. Movements are inspired by yoga and pilates, and the whole workout is set to awesome music. But the BEST part is that POUND incorporates the fun of playing the drums! This particular class is 15 minutes long and is designed to give students a taste of POUND, so they can decide if it is something that...
Students will try POUND to decide if they enjoy the workout and would like to continue with longer sessions! Please know that this is a workout class, not a class designed to teach your child how to play the drums.
I am a certified POUND instructor.
Ripstix (or drumsticks) Soft floor (carpet, rug, yoga mat, etc.) Workout clothes Water
15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will need to use drumsticks to pound on the floor. They should be drumming with materials that are not going to break easily and on a surface that will absorb impact (carpet, rug, yoga mat, etc.) Class may include rock or pop music. Lyrics will not include swear words. See the description above for my playlist.
