I am a bilingual Spanish and English speaker that grew up in Washington State. I received my Bachelors of Arts in Spanish (with a minor in Diversity) from the University of Washington in Seattle. I have been teaching for the past 5 years in bilingual and dual-language programs. I obtained my Masters in Teaching (K-8) with endorsements in bilingual education and English Language Learning (ELL). One of my favorite roles was a position as a dual-language 1st grade teacher. I taught Spanish language arts, science, and social studies in a two-way dual-language immersion program to 35 1st grade students. Half my class was Spanish-speaking and the other half was English-Speaking. I collaborated with the dual language team and 1st grade team in planning, assessment development, and curriculum development. 5 years prior to becoming a classroom teacher, I worked in various settings with children. I tutored students K-8, one-on-one. I also assisted special education specialists with providing therapy to children ages birth-three by playing games to assist in motor skills, cognitive skills, and speech. In the fall of 2011, I began my first position in education as a para-educator in a dual-language program. I taught students (both English and Spanish speaking) from kindergarten to 4th grade.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
