Description

Class Experience

This class creates a fun, simple way for children to build love and connection within their family and community. It is a way that children can feel like they make a difference in the world by sharing love and joy. 

Each week we will paint 5 rocks and write positive affirmations on them.  The children will then plan where they will place them, in their homes and neighborhoods. While we are painting, we will share the stories of where they placed rocks from earlier classes, ideas of where...

Children will learn that small acts of kindness make a difference inside them and to others in the world.

I have been working with children my whole adult life, especially children who have had very difficult circumstances. When children can do small, simple acts of kindness, it builds resilience and joy. For a fuller view of my biography, please go to my teacher profile.

Go place your rocks in your community to bring joy to people who see them. Others might take your rocks, and that's OK. That's the whole point. To be Love Radiators.

Basics
5 prewashed and dried rocks at least 4"x4". Rocks can be larger.
Table cover
Painting shirt or smock
Wash clothes and/or paper towels for cleaning up. 
Paints in Primary colors Red, Yellow, Blue. Also Black. Other colors as you wish. I am using acrylic paint. If your rocks will not be out in the weather you could use tempra paints but they may not be as vibrant or handle rain. Try not to use washable paint. 

Paint brushes. 1/2" paint brush for background paint and thinner paint brushes for painting words and finer details.

Glitter paint

Sharpie marker. Black
