Description
Class Experience
My local community began sharing kindness rocks and my daughter and I got the bug several months ago. It is so relaxing and gratifying to paint a rock that you are going to give away. It is almost like personal therapy time to just chat away or listen as you paint. It is a wonderful activity that I'd like to share with many other young people in hopes that they can spread kindness through their creativity.
Rock painters will need: * about 3-6 small smooth rocks weekly that they'd like to use as a canvas for a simple picture or message. Spray both sides with the clear spray sealant and let dry overnight before the club meeting. *basic art quality paint brushes found at craft stores. The $1 brushes gotten at the dollar store don't work as well to create with. *Acrylic craft paint in various colors (Apple Barrel is the cheapest and works very well. It is .50 at my local Walmart) *Paint pens (not needed but nice to have) *Good quality clear sealant
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
