Class Experience

Beginner - Advanced Level
Beginner students will learn rock music starting with classic riffs like Green Onions and Working Man. Intermediate and Advanced Students will learn solos and riffs by guitarists such as David Gilmour, Tony Iommi, Eddie Van Halen, and Randy Rhoads. Song requests are always welcome. Besides learning rock classics, fundamentals such as technique, theory, and sight reading will also be covered. Lessons usually start with a warm-up exercise and posture overview, then we jump into new material before reviewing old material. Even though I have a curriculum in place, I am always ready to pivot to suit a student's goals. Everyone has their own learning style and I always make sure students feel comfortable and not rushed in lessons, as unnecessary tension and stress will only hold us back. Every lesson will involve direct interaction with me as I guide the student through each step of the way, checking in with the student for feedback on how the process is going for them and making sure they understand everything. Sometimes videos and games are used to facilitate learning as well.
