We will be playing on Piggy Book 2 Chapter 7! Let's get together to play Roblox’s Piggy on a safe private server that is provided by the teacher. This is a small group so everyone has a better opportunity to build friendships from the class. Students will be able to play with their peers and not with just anyone in the world. We will not only play Piggy, but we will also have the opportunity to work on our social etiquette with one another. There will be laughter, chatter, and excitement in the class. Students will need two devices for class: one for the Zoom meeting and one for their gaming on Piggy. Students will need to have an active Roblox account prior to joining the class. There will be instructions in the welcome message on steps that need to be taken prior to the first day of class. Along with having fun in a safe server with other peers in the same age group, we will also talk about safety while playing on Roblox and the internet. ~Having an active Roblox is required to participate in the class. ~Username/gamer tags will be required for the class. ~Parents need to message teachers directly (not through the learner profile) the username/gamer tags, parents’ consent is required through this process. Topics for discussion during class: Week of 5/16: Safety on Roblox Week of 5/23: Cyber Bullies Week of 5/30: Protecting your account Week of 6/6: What it means to be a good listener

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello there and welcome to my classroom.
I hold an Associate of Science degree with a focus on Medical Laboratory Technician since 2016 from the College of Coastal Georgia. My degree provides me with an understanding and knowledge of several different laboratory sciences. My degree program also involved many hands-on experiences during the two years of clinical classes.
The experience I have teaching and working with youth includes informal teaching with grades between pre-k through the fourth grade (ages 4-10 years old) since 2012. I have taught my students the general requirements for Georgia and I have also created supplemental curriculums for my children to assist with their daily homeschool. I have always believed that early exposure to sciences helps children become more aware and interested in such topics. The love of science can help them in the future when they are reintroduced to the topics in their later school years.
Since 1999, I have practiced multiple forms of martial arts. Other experiences working with youth groups include my time volunteering and assisting at the local Grimsley's Martial Arts School with the students between the ages of five to ten years of age. This includes guidance in forms, techniques in the art, and overall assistance and preparations with the seasonal competitions since 2016. Assistance with the martial arts students includes one-on-one and small groups of five, guidance, and examples in how their formation should be. I help the students practice their techniques to help them feel more confident and comfortable with their forms to prepare them for their competitions. During practice, I also assist in supervising the sparring between the students to support safety. Having a passion for these arts helps the children safely practice while enjoying what they love.
