includedClass Experience
In this class, I will teach Roblox gaming strategy and mechanics. We will cover game lore and problem-solving skills to figure out the puzzles while escaping enemies. The topics covered are Chapter 2 of Poppy Playtime. The game is called "Playtime [Story]" in Roblox, but it replicates the original Poppy Playtime. Class is on a private server. Only enrolled learners are allowed in the game. Teamwork will help as many players complete the game as possible. Any players who die before reaching the end should revive or spectate other players to watch how they play and learn winning techniques. My teaching style is informal, friendly, and casual. The class is highly interactive. Using Zoom, players can speak aloud and type in chat to discuss the game. The objective is to have fun. The only requirement is that players have a Roblox account. Having Robux is optional but recommended when a student dies too soon and wants to revive and continue gameplay.
Learning Goals
Students will learn game mechanics, how to earn badges, and teamwork skills. I will share game strategies and lore. Socializing is a big part of the learning process. Gameplay is always more fun when done with friends in a safe space.

Parental Guidance
Poppy Playtime is considered a horror genre game. There will be mildly scary jumpscares. This is what makes the game so popular. Poppy Playtime is recommended for 8+ by the game developer. Common Sense Media rates the Roblox platform generally as 13+. In my personal experience, I have seen younger children enjoy playing the game.
The game is designed to appeal to young children. However, some of the imagery may be frightening to them, and the gameplay could increase feelings of anxiety or stress. The game isn’t gory but uses child-friendly toys in scary ways, which could make young children scared of things they have previously felt comfortable with.
Roblox is an approved third-party website. A Roblox account is required to access the game's private servers. Gamer tags are needed to access Roblox private servers. Gamer tags are personal information and should never be shared in the classroom. Parents or learners should provide their gamer tags to me directly through a private message. Roblox private servers are limited to live class hours and cannot be accessed outside of that time.
