Absolutely! Here’s the revised version with "game" instead of "project" to make it more engaging for kids: Class Experience In this small-group Roblox coding class, students will share their games, give and receive feedback, and learn new coding techniques to make their creations even better. The class is designed to be both instructional and interactive, allowing students to build confidence in their coding skills while having fun learning from a peer. What Will Be Taught? Students will explore game design principles, coding techniques in Lua, and problem-solving strategies in Roblox Studio. Each session will include: Game Sharing: Each student will present their game and explain their design choices. Constructive Feedback: I will guide students in giving and receiving peer feedback in a positive, structured way. Live Coding & Debugging: I will demonstrate useful scripting concepts that students can apply directly to their games. Hands-on Practice: Students will have time to implement improvements based on feedback and new skills learned. Class Structure: Introduction & Goal-Setting (5 minutes): Students share what they’re working on and any challenges they need help with. Game Showcases (20 minutes): Each student presents their game, and we discuss design choices and areas for improvement. Live Coding & Teaching (15 minutes): I demonstrate relevant scripting techniques based on students’ needs. Implementation & Wrap-Up (5 minutes): Students apply what they’ve learned, ask final questions, and set goals for future work. Teaching Style & Interaction My teaching style is supportive, engaging, and flexible to accommodate different learning styles. I use a mix of: Live demonstrations in Roblox Studio Guided discussions to encourage problem-solving Hands-on coding practice with real-time support Collaborative learning, allowing students to learn from each other’s experiences Since this class is limited to two students per session, each learner receives personalized attention while also benefiting from peer interaction. By the end of each session, students will have new coding skills, actionable feedback, and a clearer path forward in their game development journey.
Learning Goals
1) Share Their Own Roblox Game with one other student: Present their game and explain their design choices.
2) Improve Coding Skills in Lua: Apply new scripting

Learning Needs
This class is flexible and adaptive, making it great for students with ADHD, ASD, or other unique learning needs. With only two students, I provide individualized support, adjusting pacing and engagement to help maintain focus.
Parental Guidance
For this class, students will need to share their Roblox gamer tag to access a private server. To protect student privacy, gamer tags must be sent privately through Outschool messages and should not be shared in the classroom page. Private servers will only be open during class hours.
Pre-Requisites
Students should have a basic understanding of using a keyboard, including typing punctuation such as colons (:) and quotation marks ("), and should know how to right-click with a mouse. No prior coding experience is required, but familiarit

Doctoral Degree in Mathematics from Tufts University
Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Lycoming College
I hold a PhD in Mathematics, which has provided me with a deep understanding of logic, problem-solving, and technical thinking—skills I apply to teaching coding. I have been teaching Roblox game development for 4 years, including 2 years on Outschool, where I’ve taught 323 students across 1,478 (nearly 1500!) individual sessions. I specialize in helping students build confidence and improve their coding skills in Roblox Studio.
In addition to my technical expertise, I have personal experience with ADHD, which allows me to tailor my teaching strategies to help students stay focused, engaged, and motivated. My classes are structured yet flexible, ensuring students have the support they need while also fostering independence.
I have also worked with children in various settings, including private tutoring, after-school programs, and online courses, where I provide a patient, approachable, and encouraging learning environment.
