Roblox Dress to Impress Weekly Social Gaming Club
What's included
1 live meeting
55 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
In this ongoing gaming class, students who enjoy fashion dress up games will meet weekly and have the opportunity to socialize with their peers while playing the Roblox game, Dress to Impress. Each round, we will have a theme - either provided by the students or given to us by the game. We will then have a certain amount of time to find an outfit for our character to wear that fits the theme. To conclude the round, we will have a runway fashion show to share our outfits with the class. All students will vote each other a flawless five stars each round. The game will randomly assign three players to the first, second, and third place podium. It's the perfect social hour for those that love fashion and homeschool, or really anyone who likes video games and making friends! As an extra safety precaution, the teacher will host a private server for this game, so only currently enrolled students will be able to play. Students will need a second device on which to play the game, so they can stay connected and continue to chat in the Outschool classroom. Lesson Plans: This gaming club will follow the same format each week. The class will begin with each student having opportunity to say hello to his or her classmates and share something from the past week. Then we will enter the private Roblox Dress to Impress server, specifically created for this class, and play as many rounds of the game as the class time allows. We need at least four players total to play the game. However, students may join and leave this class weekly, as best fits their schedule, because progress through the game does not build week to week. Please Note: Students will need to share their Roblox gamer tags with the teacher so they can gain access to the private server. Please make sure students have a Roblox account set up prior to class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi there! My name is Maura Cohen. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and just about twenty years teaching experience, in both traditional classrooms and online teaching environments. I have taught children of all ages, from preschool through high school. I was a certified public school teacher for years in both second and fourth grade before staying home to teach and raise my own three children. In recent years, I discovered online teaching and I have loved the flexibility it provides ever since. I am a very friendly, energetic teacher who loves to have fun while helping my students get excited about working together and discovering new things. I love to teach and I love to travel. I have been to many European countries, and I have lived for several years in both Japan and Italy. When I am not in the classroom or traveling, I love spending time with my daughter and two sons, reading, making crafts, and eating my husband's amazing food. (I am very lucky because he is a professional chef!) I hope to see your child in my classroom soon! We will chat about topics they enjoy, practice social skills and teamwork, and have lots of fun!
