In this weekly, ongoing club, learners will come together, to socialize safely, on a private server and play Roblox Adopt Me! We will show our favorite pet of the week, discuss updates and make fair trades with each other and me!

Who loves playing Adopt Me?! 🥚💻🦄 During this weekly, ongoing, class we will PLAY Adopt Me in a private and safe server created by me, Mrs. Joanna! We will share our favorite pet of the week, make fair trades, talk about the newest updates and discuss what we would like to see next in Adopt Me! This is a play based class that is great for socializing kids who share a love for Roblox! This is meant as a fun and relaxed virtual experience for learners while practicing social skills! I will be guiding them along in the discussion to make sure everyone gets a chance to participate if they are willing. I always discuss Roblox safety rules while playing! These are to remind learners why it is important to be safe while playing Roblox in the public server. *Everybody is welcome in this class and everybody will be treated with kindness. I have one main rule in my classes and that is we treat others with kindness!* Please read prior to class! 1. The learner should have a Roblox account setup prior to class 2. I will need everyone’s username prior to class to enter private server 3. Learners must stay in class, on Zoom, for the entire time 4. It is suggested to play Roblox on a separate device from the Zoom call 4. Please note that sometimes there can be lagging and other issues! Sometimes this is Roblox, sometimes this is your internet, sometimes this is the device! It can be frustrating but it happens to all of us! 6. These classes require some patience while using technology! I sometimes have to help students as they try to enter the server and it might take me a few minutes to help them. It is important to try to get everyone in and playing as quick as possible! 7. Everyone should be kind to each other! I look forward to seeing everyone in class! Mrs. Joanna

Hello! My name is Mrs. Joanna, a teacher who loves video games, and I host many different Roblox social clubs and classes on Outschool! I have been playing Roblox for about 2 years now and find it to be such a great creative outlet. There are so many different, creative and fun games on Roblox and I love hosting these social clubs and classes that give kids a safe place to socialize with other kids who love Roblox! I do my research on these games and actually play these games myself (outside of the social clubs/classes). I love to give tips and tricks and share any updates I know that are coming out.
I started playing video games with my older brothers when I was around 5 years old. Old school Nintendo games such as Tetris, Super Mario Bros, Zelda, and Duck Hunt. I grew up and experienced all of the new systems that came out such as Nintendo, Playstation, Xbox, and always enjoyed playing video games as an escape from reality. Video games have certainly changed and come in all formats now which is really awesome.
My oldest daughter introduced me to Roblox and would always talk about all the different games she was playing such as Adopt Me, Royale High, and Meep City. I had no idea what she was talking about until I started playing with her. I did a lot of research on Roblox and mostly about how safe it was and what to look out for. This is something I always go over with not only my daughter but also with my learners in my social clubs and classes! Once I started playing Roblox with my daughter, the more I finally figured out the different terminology and what she had been talking about. I really enjoy Roblox and believe it can spark so much creativity in kids (and adults) as long as they are doing it safely!
I am not just a mom that loves video games! I believe it is all about balance and especially important enjoying activities away from the screen. I am a lover of the outdoors and animals plus spending time with my three kids and husband! I have a B.A. in History and Political Science and over 15 years of working with kids. I have always had a passion for working with kids and spend time every month volunteering with various groups that help kids in a variety of ways that are needed whether educational or they just need someone to talk to.
Can't wait to play Roblox!
