Class Experience

In this class children will...
· develop an understanding of basic emotions (happy, sad, mad etc) in a fun way. 
Class structure...
· each class will begin with an introduction, age appropriate class expectation and interactive activity
· a new emotion will be introduced each day. Children will engage in a short story about the emotion and the animal whose common behavioral characteristics identify with the emotion ( i.e. When does a lion ROAR) act out the emotions and a craft.  

Teaching...

Students will learn to identify their emotions and verbalize them to their parents/caregivers

In my career , I have worked with children on developing social emotional skills for the past 10 years. Engaging young children with hands on activities such as crafts and sounds has been one of the best ways to teach them.
