Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 4
Students will read a book a week and walk away from class with a full comprehension of the plot.
All reading will be independent.
Please see the class description for the book club schedule. Books will need to be purchased at your local library or purchased at a book store.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Assessment upon request.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Some Roald Dahl books may contain themes of adults mistreating children or animals. These themes will be handled with the utmost empathy, with space for students to put themselves into others' shoes and identify how they feel about these scenes. There is the possibility of some bathroom behavior in some of Dahl's writing, which might make us all giggle but will be dealt with in a way that moves past it and continues on with the lesson rather than getting stuck in the silly.
