Privacy & Gamer Tags: Rocket League has implemented a mode which Gamer Tags can indeed be kept private. Each user has a "Gamer Tag" which is public and is what others who the person plays against sees. This "Gamer Tag" is not enough to add someone as a "Friend". Underneath the gamer tag is an "Epic ID", this is what is required to "Friend" another player. It is completely up to you as to whether you'd like to provide the "Epic ID" or not. Whether the "Epic ID" is shared or not, we can still proceed with class by joining a "Private Match" with a unique Name and Password for the duration of that class. If however the learner wishes to participate in teaming up to play against others online during class, a party will be required and therefore the "Epic ID" will need to be shared. However this is not necessary, the class can still be enjoyed without an "Epic ID" by participating in Private Matches during this class.
