Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
🤚Hello Outschool Families!✋

Thank you for taking the time to check out, "The Road to Grammar." English grammar can be complex and difficult to understand, but I am here to help.

📌This interactive class is packed with a range of concepts, including compound sentences, sentence structure, conjunctions, subject/verb agreements, punctuation, verb tense, and much more. Your learner will study a new grammar concept each week in an engaging way, building a backpack full of literacy skills.

📌Each session will include an interactive Google Slides or Nearpod presentation where learners can participate by matching, drawing, dissecting, and writing about the concept being taught. I plan each lesson around demonstration, prompt, and individual practice to ensure learners stay engaged with the concept.

📌The full curriculum consists of 68 lessons, each covering a new grammar concept. This flexible structure allows learners to join at any time, starting their journey with the first of their 68 lessons upon enrollment. Learners are welcome to complete all 68 lessons or participate as long as their schedule permits.

📌Occasionally, a poster or resource will be shared before class to support the learning process.

📌After each class, an additional practice sheet will be provided to help learners deepen their understanding beyond the classroom. Once completed, these sheets can be shared with me, and I will gladly review them and provide feedback..

📌My teaching philosophy is best summed up by Benjamin Franklin's quote: "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn."

📌As a current 6th grade teacher with 12 years of grammar experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge to each class. I also understand how each individual learner can benefit from a personalized approach, and I am able to quickly adapt to a variety of learners and adjust pacing to meet the needs of the classroom.

Thank you again for considering "The Road to Grammar." I look forward to working with your learner!
