Class Experience

-Topics Covered:
-Basic opening principles (Control center, develop pieces ASAP, keep king safe).
-Famous Opera Game.

-Taught via Zoom and screen sharing on Lichess.org.
-Teaching style: My teaching style relies on covering concepts on a foundational level and then explaining why and how these concepts work. The focus is on making sure that the student fully understands the concepts. Then, I provide ways to solidify and applying the understanding of the material.

-Required Experience:
-Road to Chess Expert #1 - Zero to Hero (Learn Chess in 60 Minutes!) 
OR
-Know all chess rules including special rules (Castling, en passant) and algebraic notation. If your student doesn't know the special rules and/or algebraic notation but all the other rules of the game, let me know and we can build that into the lesson plan.

-Transfer/Refund Policy:
-Full refund OR transfer until a week in advance, or within 24 hours of purchase (Until class starts).
-All classes are recorded by Outschool through Zoom and posted a few hours later.

I have won the Ohio Chess Championship and Cleveland Open, state-wide chess tournaments.
