Please be aware that this class utilizes the following third-party tools that will take your learner off the Outschool site: 1. Classkick.com. Your student will be given a link in the Zoom chat which has a code for accessing a specific assignment. Your student's work will only be visible to myself and the student. This tool allows me to see all students' work in realtime, just as if I were walking around the classroom checking their papers. 2. Gimkit.com. Sometimes we may use Gimkit for gameplay to increase student mastery of a topic. Gimkit allows students to sign in, but this is not required. They will be given a game code and will be able to access a game with other members of this specific class only, while supervised by me. 3. Nearpod.com. We may use Nearpod for lesson presentation. Nearpod allows, but does not require, student sign-in. They may access the lesson through the code I provide them. Nearpod allows students to view videos and engage in activities curated by me that are relevant to the classroom topic. It is an excellent tool for active student responding and to gauge learning in the moment. They will not be interacting with anyone who is not in this class. Please let me know if you have any concerns or questions about these tools. Thanks so much!
