Good morning! Who's ready to start the day with a story? In this teacher led class, your student will listen to a different live read aloud each day. Through lively and energetic interaction, students will be engaged in the lesson by being encouraged to listen, interact, discuss and use the themes in the story to learn about literature. Your student will be encouraged to share what they heard and learned with someone at home after class. This class runs weekly and the books are never the same, so I hope to see you each week! The picture books that are used will be rich in illustration, allow for conversation and offer opportunities to learn something new each day! Speaking and sharing is always encouraged! Moms and dads, grab your cup of coffee and relax as I help start your child's day with books, books and more books! Let's read!

Hello & welcome to Outschool! My name is Suzi and I'm excited to share a bit about myself.
I am a former elementary school teacher turned homeschooling mom. I have a background in Literacy education and find joy in teaching new things and helping students discover their interests through content and instruction. I think it's important to engage students through storytelling, example and hands on experiences.
As a teacher, I've taught everything from pre-school through high school grades and across all content areas. My favorite subjects to teach are history and math and I have a serious love of language and how to use it, whether it be through writing, speaking or problem solving.
My family and I live in Wisconsin. We have 3 children and 3 dogs (2 guinea pigs and a rabbit) and are originally from the East Coast...but are starting to realize we're destined to be midwesterners! I hope to see you in class soon!
