In this one time class, students will have the opportunity to exercise their critical thinking skills as we discuss the rights we have as Americans and the responsibility we have in exercising those rights. Students will learn what natural rights are and what rights are granted to American citizens throughout the Constitution and by the government. We will discuss what, if any, responsibility we have to our fellow citizen in exercising these rights. Rights that we will be explored are the right to vote; the right to free speech, peaceful assembly, religion; the right to bear arms; the right to a jury trial and more. The class will utilize discussion, question and answer, power point, and an in class worksheet for the lesson.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
