US Grade 4 - 7
Using IEW's Writing Structure and Style, this class will cover Unit 5, all Disney Parks themed! We will be using sketches from Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom to start our creative juices. Students will learn the parts of a story, use Brain Questions to create a good story and the pixie dust to write an imaginative story. I expect cameras to be on and all actively engaged and participating.
Learning Goals
Looking at drawings and sketches of Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, students will write a three paragraph narrative that unwraps their own creativity. Students will use story sequencing charts and practice using dress-ups and sentence openers to add magic to their writings. We will also review topic/clincher sentences and how to write a title.
