Beginner Level
Using IEW's Writing Structure and Style, this class will cover Units 1-2, all Disney Parks themed! We will be using source texts on Peter Pan's Flight, The Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean and Space Mountain. Students will learn the important words to remember when taking notes, how to take notes properly and how to place those notes in an outline. Every outline must be tested verbally. Then outlines will be rewritten using their own words. I expect cameras to be on and all actively engaged and participating.
Learning Goals
Students will understand how to read a source text, pick out key words, construct an outline using key words and rewrite from an outline. Students will practice using -ly adverbs and who/which clauses to dress-up their writing.
