Beginner Level
This class is designed around IEW Writing Structure and Style. Topics include reading source materials, deciding the key words in each sentence, and as a Key Word Outline. We will learn and practice how to test an outline. After the outlines pass the test, students will rewrite the notes using their own words. Students will also be given a set of pictures where they will come up with their own story. This will introduce them to the Freytag's pyramid. In both assignments, they will practice using adjectives, adverbs, clauses and various sentence openers to make their writings more magical. It's a fun, lively class with lots of interaction between all of the participants and myself. There will also be plenty of Disney Trivia, stories, as well as a craft and a kitchen activity.
