Assessment
Group Assessment: Learners will receive a rubric and be encouraged to watch the class recordings afterward to assess the group’s performance as a whole. This approach allows them to reflect on (and enjoy) the creative process without self-doubt. The key to improv and performance is trusting oneself and fully embracing creative instincts. By focusing on what worked, what was fun, and how the group collaborated, learners can review their growth in a supportive way—without second-guessing their individual ideas.

Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 8
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Does your learner love to act, do silly voices, tell stories, or make people laugh? In Ridiculous Revoicers, learners will step into a wild world where improv, voice acting, and cringey old oddball movies collide. This fast-paced and interactive class teaches students how to think on their feet, create hilarious and engaging dialogue, elevate their focus & concentration, and develop confidence in performance, all while working together through the laughter to create something truly ridiculous that can never be duplicated again.

EPISODE 1 - Monster Madness!
In this episode, we're dubbing over an out-of-this-world 1960s monster film where giant creatures battle it out under alien control. A certain famous atomic lizard is on the loose, but what will you name your version? Grimzilla? Frogzilla? … Or just Fred?

Each class begins with a quick warm-up game to get everyone thinking fast, loosening up their voices, and playing with the different performance tools they will learn. Then, the real fun begins! We begin dubbing our way through a bizarre, vintage public-domain movie—think cheesy sci-fi epics or over-the-top adventures— changing what the actors are saying and creating our own story.

Learners will take turns revoicing the characters and adding sound effects live. No script, no limits—just pure creativity. One moment, they might be a dramatic space captain; the next, a bumbling villain with a ridiculous secret plan. As they experiment with voices, timing, and spontaneous storytelling, they’ll build essential skills in improvisation, character work, and comedic timing, all in a supportive and playful environment.

This class is about embracing the unexpected, trusting creative instincts, and learning how to adapt quickly. Whether your learner is an aspiring actor, a natural comedian, or just someone with a good sense of humor, they’ll leave each session with stronger confidence, sharper improv skills, and—most importantly—a whole lot of laughs.

👉 Join us for more improv madness! Check out the other Ridiculous Revoicers episodes: Episode 2 – Space Shenanigans, Episode 3 – Santa vs. the Aliens, and Episode 4 – The Haunted Hotel.

At Boundless Reach, we believe in giving learners the space to explore, create, and grow through play. This class isn’t just about voice acting—it’s about developing the kind of fearless creativity that makes performances (and performers) unforgettable.

Learning Goals

Quick Thinking: Learners will improve their ability to think on their feet so they can adapt to unexpected moments with creativity and confidence.
Imaginative Storytelling under pressure: Learners will develop storytelling skills by creating original dialogue and characters in the moment, guiding them to let go and express their ideas in fun and engaging ways.

MEET ME: Gordon Woolvett

Hi, I’m Gordon Woolvett, founder of Boundless Reach. With over 250 plus screen credits in television, film and on stage—as a Gemini award-winning actor, writer, and director—I’ve seen how the right training can empower young performers to embrace their creativity, build confidence, and thrive.

You might recognize me from Andromeda (a sci-fi TV series sold in over 150 countries) or Bride of Chucky (which, let’s hope, your learner hasn’t seen!), but my passion extends far beyond the screen. With more than 45 years of professionally performing and training, I’ve developed tools for versatility and adaptability—exactly what your learner needs to overcome challenges, achieve greater success in acting, and unlock their inner artistry and creativity—all while laughing and having fun along the way.

As an improv performer (catch me live, weekly, at two different improv theatres in Vancouver, BC), a dad of three, and a soccer coach of 11 years: I’ve learned that creativity flourishes best in an environment that’s both structured and fun. That’s why our classes blend improvisation, scene study, and private coaching in joyful ways to help each student discover their unique voice and build the confidence to take on any challenge.

GORDON'S CREDIT HIGHLIGHTS

Many film & TV credits too numerous to list
Won a Gemini in 2002 (Canada's equivalent to the Oscars)
Was previously nominated in the '90s for Best Supporting Actor in a film
